Iron Ore Mining and Weaving in the Braid Valley and the Glens of Antrim.

The tour begins and ends at Carnlough Heritage Hub.

The group will travel to Raceview Mill, Brooughshane, to see how the site has developed form the 19th Century, when wool was first woven there, to it's present day use as a business centre, retaining some of the old Mill's heritage.  The tour then moves on to Glenravel where local Guide, Donnell O'Loan, will explain at a series of sites, how iron ore was mined in Glenravel Glen from 1868 to 1945 and transported to shipment points on the Antrim coast.

Plesae wear suitable footwear for a little off-road walking in scenice surroundings.

Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

There will be a charge of £6 or £4 concession, which will be payable on the day.
