Current Volunteering Opportunities

Below are current opportunities (updated 31/08/2016)

HMS Caroline Museum and Heritage Attraction – Call for Curatorial Volunteers

HMS Caroline, a museum and heritage attraction in Belfast, has an opportunity for Curatorial Volunteers at the end of October. Volunteers will assist with a series of collections management tasks including administration, photographing, packing and cataloguing. Volunteers will be required to attend a training day before commencement of volunteering.

Availability at the end of October and an interest in heritage and collections care is essential. Some previous experience of working with collections and archives would be desirable. The volunteer must be able to work alone and as part of a team, be organised, motivated and have good attention to detail.

These roles offer reimbursement of travel expenses (within an upper limit) and the chance to gain valuable experience and develop knowledge and understanding of curatorial practices.

If you are interested in volunteering in this role at HMS Caroline, please email Catherine Spencer on learning.caroline@nmrn.org.uk
